cell Division /Mitosis Song

ell Division /Mitosis Song. Here is a video I created for my 6th grade science students to help them study.I hope you enjoy. In Cell Division Chorus In Cell Division Events make cells grow and divide Events make cells grow and divide (2x) Events make cells grow and d-d-ivide In Cell Division (woooh hoo) Events make cells grow and divide Events make cells grow and divide (2x) Events make cells grow and d-d-ivide At Interphase The cell gets big It makes a copy Of DNA The cell is active Matures in size Prepares to split into two- sides I know the next stage is called In Mitosis It's Prophase Metaphase that's not all And Three, Anaphase And the next Telephase Then it's Cytokinesis The cycle is done d-d-d-done Prophase is one The nucleus Chromatin condenses Making Chromo-somes Spindle fibers form A bridge between the End of the cell And then the Membrane breaks down Let's do it, Let's do it, Let's do it, Let's do it and do it, and do it ,let's live it up. and do it, and do it, and do it, do it, do it, Let's do it, Let's do it, Let's do it 'cause Chorus In Cell Division (woooh hoo) Events make cells grow and divide Events make cells grow and divide (2x) Events make cells grow and d-d-ivide Metaphase is next (hey) yelled Chromosomes line up (They will line up) All in the middle (hey) And they hold on (they will hold on) The spindle fibers (fibers) At it's centromeres (the centromeres) Which still is holding (c'mon) Chromatids joined Anaphase is up (three) It's time to split (go 'way) Centromeres breaking (move it, move it) They separ-rate The chromatids (chromatids) It moves along (moves along) The spindle fibers (wooohooo) Opposite ends of the cell Let's do it, Let's do it, Let's do it, Let's do it and do it, and do it let's live it up. And do it, and do it, and do it, do it, do it, Let's do it, Let's do it, Let's do it do it, do it, do it, Telaphase Chromosomes Begin to stretch out, out, out, out, out They don't look like they did No more like rods, rods, rods, rods, rods This occurs At the ends Of the new cells, cells, cells, cells, cells Nuclear Membranes form Around each part, part, part, part, part Mitosis, Interphase, Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, Telophase, Cytokinesis Cell membrane go-goes around The middle of the cell-cell Pinches into two A d-d-daughter cell's the same Chorus In Cell Division (woooh hoo) Events make cells grow and divide Events make cells grow and divide (2x) Events make cells grow and d-d-ivide

lyrics of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga to memorize facts about Double Fertilization

I modified the lyrics of Paparazzi by Lady Gaga to memorize facts about Double Fertilization and Formation of Embryo Sac. Hope you guys enjoy...
(Sorry for the poor sound quality.)

Background song: Paparazzi [Lady Gaga]
P.S. : I don't own any of the copyright for the background song.

Pollen tube reach ovary and it
penetrates ovule through the micropyle
Tube nucleus in front, generative nucleus behind
Tube nucleus at end of pollen
tube disintegrates, leaving a clear passage
for 2 male nuclei to enter embryo sac
'Coz you know that after that

1 of male nuclei moves to egg cell nucleus and fuse with it
To form diploid zygote
Other male nucleus fuse with 2 polar nuclei to form
Triploid, triploid nucleus
Triploid nucleus divides to form endosperm that provides food
Products of double fertilization are diploid zygote
And triploid nucleus

Embryo sac originates from
Embryo sac mother cell that undergoes meiosis
to create 4 haploid cells called megaspores
3 of the 4 megaspores disintegrates
While the fourth cell grow
and develops to create embryo sac
Its nucleus undergoes mitotic division 3 times

To produce 8 haploid nuclei with 4 nuclei at each
end of embryo sac
1 nucleus from each end of embryo sac migrates to centre
To form 2 polar nuclei
3 nuclei migrate to 1 end of embryo sac
To form 3 antipodal cells
A+ BIOLOGY!

Another 3 migrate to opposite end
of embryo sac to produce
2 synergid cells with an egg
It's the end but we still have fun

Mature embryo sac will have have 3 cells at each end with
2 nuclei in centre
All of them haploid but only 1 at end of micropyle
will form the ovum
3 antipodal cells and 2 synergid cells disintergrate
That is all you have to know about the embryo sac
Bye bye, jumpa lagi!
